Connections Pastor (full-time):
The church is hiring a full time Connections Pastor (CP). He will be responsible for organizing volunteers for service in various areas of the church such as the building and other property, Sunday morning support ministries, etc. Additionally, the CP will be responsible for helping people integrate into the church, connect with areas of service matching their interests and abilities, and developing relationships with others. The CP will also be expected to visit those in the hospital and/or shut-ins, be prepared to conduct funeral services, weddings, and participate in worship service planning, as needed.
The CP should have at least a Bachelor degree in ministry or some related area, however experience may be considered in lieu of formal education on a case-by-case basis.
This is a full time position consisting of regular weekday and Sunday morning hours, in addition to special functions held at the church. The CP will report to the Senior Pastor and/or his designee. This is not a remote position. Background checks shall be conducted in accordance with state law.
Shepherd of the Hills is a member of the Calvary Chapel Association and applicants must agree with our statement of faith (links provided below). If, after reviewing these faith statements, an applicant is not in total agreement, they should reconsider whether to apply since "can two walk together who have not agreed" (Amos 3:3). Applicants who are selected to continue will be given a full position description prior to interviewing.

Service Opportunities
SUNDAY SCHOOL TEACHER: We are looking for volunteers to lead our Pre-K and Kindergarten Sunday School classes. Sunday School starts at 9:30 AM. Building Upkeep Volunteers: We are seeking individuals who are interested in helping to clean the building and perform general upkeep as needed. If interested, please contact the church office at info@soth.church
Multimedia Team: We're looking for people to join our multimedia team on Sunday mornings. You would be helping with video and audio production, sound mixing, and other tech-related areas of the Sunday service. If you're interested in helping, let us know! Experience not needed and we will provide all the training you need. CHRONICLES BOOKS STORE ATTENDANT: We are looking for volunteers to help assist our Sunday morning operations (8 AM – 12:30 PM) at our bookstore, Chronicles Christian Books. If you have a love of books and coffee, this may be a perfect opportunity for you. Training will be provided; a general knowledge of technology & tablet devices is a plus. WORSHIP TEAM: We are currently looking for anyone interested in serving with our One Voice worship ministry. Whether you sing, plan an instrument, operate sound equipment, or run projectors, we're looking for you. Must be able to commit to one Sunday per month. CONNECT GROUP LEADER: We are currently looking for people to host in-home small groups. The person must be (or willing to become) a member of SOTH, be a believer, be able to host a group of between 7 and 10 other people twice per month, and be able to coordinate the group's meetings. This person ideally will have a spiritual giftedness of a pastor, teacher, administrator, host, or other relevant gift.
