  3. No gospel has all the information
  4. Harmony is a full picture of Jesus

Introduction: 

a. Life as a believer isn’t easy
b. Mary and Joseph were called to a hard task
c. Their willingness to respond to God’s call gave them peace

I. Gods call in unpredictable

a. God’s call on Mary’s life came without warning
b. God often moves without warning

II. God’s call is often disagreeable

a. Mary would not be appreciated by others
b. God’s call on your life will often put you at odds with the world

III. God’s call looks impossible

a. Mary didn’t think she could have a child since she was a virgin
b. Often what God calls us to do looks impossible
c. The Bible teaches nothing is impossible with God

IV. God’s call is affirmable

a. Everything God told Mary to do was in His Word
b. God’s call will always be consistent with His Word

V. God’s call is beneficial

a. God chose Mary to be the mother of Jesus
b. Jesus was a blessing to the entire world
c. God gifts and calls us to be a blessing to others

Closing

a. Whatever God is calling you to do will likely be hard
b. Look close at what God is doing.
