Calvary Kids is the children's ministries of Shepherd of the Hills Calvary Chapel, it includes everything kid: Sunday school, children's church, our care room and the infant's crib room are all included.  In addition, our summer Vacation Bible School, our Wednesday night H2O Kids, and other children's events are all part of Calvary Kids.

Sunday Morning Kids Ministries:

9:30 AM Service: Kids are encouraged to attend our Sunday School for all ages for the whole 9:30-10:30 AM hour. We also have childcare for infants and toddlers.

11:00 AM Service: Kids are dismissed following the songs of worship to Children's Church and Care Room

SUNDAY SCHOOL: 9:30-10:30 PreK through 6th grade  

***Children are encouraged to bring in their water bottles and Bibles*** 

PreK -Kindergarten: (Meets upstairs in PreK Classroom)  *Parents, please see the take home paper your children bring home after class.  These papers will show you what they have learned in Sunday School. 

Your children will finish the series, “Protected by the Armor of God”.  Children will see each piece of armor, in Ephesian 6, using different stories throughout the Bible. The kids will start a new series “David and the Giant”, Ephesians 13:5b. The children will learn about the early life of David. God was with David, every step of the way, and God is with us too! 

• Helmet of Salvation: Put on the helmet of Salvation: Know that salvation comes through Jesus only. Jesus came to save us from our sins. The story of the Crucifixion, Luke 23:31-43 

• Prayer: Prayer is talking to God: We can talk to God at any time about anything! He listens and He answers us, amazing! God loves us and wants the best for us. Peter’s Escape from prison, Acts 12:1-16 

• The Full Armor of God: God gifts Christian’s A Full Armor. The soldier’s attire of truth, righteousness, peace, faith salvation, the Bible and prayer help us stay strong against evil. Ephesians 6:13a 

• The Secret King: Samuel Anoints David. David didn’t know the big things God had planned for his life, but he knew he could trust God. You can trust God too, because He loves you and wants the best for you. 1 Samuel 16:1-13 

1st-4th Grades (Downstairs Classrooms *Parents, please see the “Make it Stick” papers we send home with the children, for a better description and how to reinforce what they have learned throughout the week. We also send home a memory verse for them to learn.  We give them an incentive to remember scripture. 

The children will be starting a new lesson series, “High Score” How to Win at Life”. A video game themed study that follows the life of Elijah, a prophet of God. Elijah knew the secret of how to win at life. Live a life devoted to and focused on God. 

Memory Verse: Trust in the Lord with all your heart. Do not depend on your own understanding. In all your ways obey Him. Then He will make your paths smooth and straight. Proverbs 3:5-6 

• Player One: Famine in Israel, 1Kings 17:1-6
  Kids will learn” I will go where God leads even when it is hard. 

• Easter Eggs and Regenerate: Elijah and the Widow/The Widow’s Son, 1 Kings 17:7-24
  Kids will learn I can trust God to know and provide what I need and that God is mighty and powerful to save.

• Glitch: Elijah on Mount Carmel, 1 Kings 18:17-39
  Kids will learn that there is only One true God. 

• Energy Restored and Noob: God speaks to Elijah/Elijah and Elisha, 1Kings 19:1-18
  Kids will learn they can always call out to God and it is important to have Godly friends.   

5-6th Grades (Downstairs Classroom) 

The kids will be finishing “Freedom in Christ, A Study of Galatians”. They will then study the Book of Acts and the Early Church. 

H2O CALVARY KIDS SUMMER CAMP Ages 5 through 5th Grade Wednesdays from 6:30-8:30

*Summer Camp will start June 3rd and meet every other week throughout the summer. 

The dates are as follows: June 3, 17, July 1,15, 29, August 12 and 26.   

Please bring your children to the playground and sign them in with an adult, on the sign-in sheet. If there is bad weather, bring children to Fellowship Hall and sign them in there. Kids are to be picked up in the back parking lot, since the children will be getting cleaned up from water games. The children will be learning through Bible stories, object lessons, games, videos and crafts, all reinforcing God’s Word. They will also have worship and prayer. 

Summer Camp is a time for some water fun and messy craft, every time they meet. PLEASE make sure your children wear clothes that can get messy and wet or bathing suits (appropriate, no bellies showing for girls) and towels to dry off.  

*Please have the children to bring their own water bottles and Bibles 

This Summer’s Summer Camp Theme is: “Jesus League”, Becoming One of Jesus Followers” When Jesus started his ministry, he assembled a team of followers to teach and help him on His mission. Kids will learn that even today we can join the “Jesus League” Luke 6:12-16 

The kids will be learning about Peter the Bold, Thomas the Brave, John the Love, Mary the Believer, Phillip the Speaker, Stephen the Committed and Paul the Transformer. 

Memory Verse: “When anyone lives in Christ, the new creation has come. The old is gone! The new is here! 2 Corinthians 5:17 

 *Summer is a great time for the children bring a friend or neighbor to CALVARY KIDS YOUTH CAMP, so they too can hear about Jesus and have fun while learning.  

** YOU ARE INVITED!  So, here’s the thing, every week the children are discovering how great is the love of our God, who Jesus is and how the Holy Spirit is always with them. They learn through Bible Stories, games, laughter and love. Yes, it is a little chaotic, but it is beautiful and it matters more than we realize!  Children’s Ministry is not about being perfect. It is about showing up, loving kids well and helping shape faith in the next generation. This is real Kingdom work, right here, right now, and honestly, we would love to do it with you. Children’s Ministry includes Sunday School, Toddler Care Room, Children’s Church and Youth Camp.  YOU ARE INVITED TO PARTNER WITH US IN WHAT GOD IS APREADY DOING!
