*Parents, please see the” Take Home Sheet” your children bring home after class.  These papers will show you what they have learned in Sunday School. You can help them throughout the week reinforce what they have learned about God’s Word and who He is and how much we are loved by Him. 

 At the end of June, the kids started a new series “David and the Giant”, Ephesians 13:5b. They will continue to learn about the early life of David, from the anointing by the prophet Samuel to is service in King Saul’s court, through his battle with the giant, which made him famous in Israel. God was with David, every step of the way, and God is with us too!  

• The Good Servant, David serves King Saul, 1 Samual 16:14-23. David went to work for King Saul.  It was not always easy to serve King Saul because he was difficult and angry sometimes. God gave David strength and talent to serve Saul. You too can believe God will give you what you need to serve others. 

• David and the Giant, David and Goliath, 1 Samual 17:25-49. When everyone else was too afraid, God gave David the courage to go out and face a giant in battle. God gave David the victory. You can believe that God will give you the strength to face your fears and win! 

• The Jealous King, Saul’s Jealousy of David, 1 Samual 18:1-16. After David defeated Goliath, the people of Israel loved him. King Saul became jealous of David’s popularity and tried to hurt him. But God protected David. You can believe that God loves you and is watching over you.

 *Parents, please see the “Make it Stick” papers we send home with the children, for a better description and how to reinforce what they have learned throughout the week. We also send home a memory verse for them to learn.  We give them an incentive to remember scripture. 

The children will be continuing the lesson series, “High Score” How to Win at Life”. A video game themed study that follows the life of Elijah, a prophet of God. Elijah knew the secret of how to win at life. Children are also introduced to Elisha.  Teaching kids how to live a life devoted to and focused on God. 

High Score Memory Verse: Trust in the Lord with all your heart. Do not depend on your own understanding. In all your ways obey Him. Then He will make your paths smooth and straight. Proverbs 3:5-6  

• Energy Restored and Noob: God speaks to Elijah/Elijah and Elisha, 1Kings 19:1-18             Kids will learn they can always call out to God and it is important to have Godly friends. 

• Cheat Code: Judgment on Ahaziah, 2 Kings 1:1-4, Kids will learn God and God alone deserves my complete trust and my praise.” 

• Level Up: Chariot of Fire, 2 Kings 2:1-15, Kids will learn, If I put my faith in Jesus, I can experience God’s Amazing rewards. 

*5-6th Grades (Downstairs Classroom) 

The kids are continuing to study the Book of Acts and the Early Church. 

* H2O CALVARY KIDS SUMMER CAMP Ages 5 through 5th Grade Wednesdays from 6:30-8:30 

*Summer Camp will start June 3rd and meet every other week throughout the summer. 

The dates are as follows: 

June 3, 17, July 1,15, 29, August 12 and 26.   

Please bring your children to the playground and sign them in with an adult, on the sign-in sheet. If there is bad weather, bring children to Fellowship Hall and sign them in there. Kids are to be picked up in the back parking lot, since the children will be getting cleaned up from water games. The children will be learning through Bible stories, object lessons, games, videos and crafts, all reinforcing God’s Word. They will also have worship and prayer. 

 ***Summer Camp is a time for some water fun and messy craft, every time they meet. PLEASE make sure your children wear clothes that can get messy and wet or bathing suits (appropriate, no bellies showing for girls) and towels to dry off.

This Summer’s Summer Camp Theme is: “Jesus League”, Becoming One of Jesus Followers” When Jesus started his ministry, he assembled a team of followers to teach and help him on His mission. Kids will learn that even today we can join the “Jesus League” Luke 6:12-16 

The kids will be learning about Peter the Bold, Thomas the Brave, John the Love, Mary the Believer, Phillip the Speaker, Stephen the Committed and Paul the Transformer.

 *Summer is a great time for the children bring a friend or neighbor to CALVARY KIDS YOUTH CAMP, so they too can hear about Jesus and have fun while learning.
